Driving Instructions
From North
- Find I-77 South. Go south through Virginia .
- Take the US-58/US-221 exit, EXIT 14, toward HILLSVILLE/GALAX. (go 0.2 miles)
- Turn RIGHT onto CARROLLTON PIKE/US-221 S/US-58 W. Continue to follow US-58 W. (go 36.0 miles)
- Turn LEFT onto COUNTY LINE RD/VA-93. Continue to follow VA-93 (Crossing into NORTH CAROLINA). (go 1.4 miles)
- VA-93 becomes NC-113. (go 0.2 miles)
- Turn RIGHT onto DEER CROSSING RD. (go 0.4 miles)
- Turn LEFT onto MOUNTAIN RIDGE RD. (go 0.1 miles)
- Turn SHARP RIGHT onto BIG ROCK RD. (go 0.0 miles)
- End at 48 Big Rock Rd Piney Creek, NC 28663
- Find I-77 and go North from Charlotte, go north to exit 83(left side exit), Highway 21 to Sparta
- Travel on highway 21 for approx. 30 miles(through the town of Sparta) to Highway 221 South. Take 221 South for about 1/2 a mile until you reach Hwy 93 West towards Piney Creek.
- Take Hwy 93 West for about 12 miles until you reach NC-113. Make a left.
- Deerwood park entrance is one block down on your right side.
*Please plan to arrive to the area at daylight, as your cell phone will probably not work in the mountains and it's very easy to get lost in the dark.
